I had a great trip back home to Alabama this past weekend. The 11.5 hour drive each way was well worth it. I know that no matter where Jon and I might find ourselves living in the years to come, Alabama will always hold a special place in my heart. There's nothing like traveling down familiar roads and conjuring up memories from days past in my hometown. The same can be said for Tuscaloosa, AL, where I spent my 4 years of college. I was fortunate enough to be able to make a trip back this past weekend for a monumental game - Alabama vs. Penn State, a match that hasn't occurred between the two teams in 20 years. As usual, the town was full of energy, spirited fans and lots of crimson. What was unusual was the attitude of our opponents. I have to give Penn State major kudos for having the nicest, most fun fans I have ever seen.
