3 Years

That's how long it's been since Jon and I said "I do." I know everyone always says it, but it really is hard to believe it's been three years.  Three years is a long time; yet, it still seems like it was just yesterday that we were standing on those windy shores of Inlet Beach, FL. I think a lot of the "just yesterday" memories are because I had such a hands-on experience with my wedding day.  I can still remember me and my sister putting together my bridesmaids bouquets, my mom and her best friend helping arrange the table centerpieces, my friend Emily making my table visions a reality on the day of the wedding and the list goes on.  It was quite a family affair, and I honestly wouldn't have changed it one bit.  Our special day was made even more special by the people who had their hands on it, and I will be forever grateful. I was looking through old albums last night and found some pictures from my sister's camera showing the beginning p...

Santa Rosa Beach Wedding

I'd say last week was another successful wedding week.  Brynnan and Michael had a beautiful ceremony at St. Rita Catholic Church in Santa Rosa Beach, FL and reception at Cabana Blue on the bay.  So many details reminded me of my own wedding day, so of course, I was in love with it all!  And I know you will be too.  I'll post more details on the flowers later, but for now, here's a little sneak! Congrats, guys!  I hope you're enjoying Jamaica!

Our Wedding Day-The Good, The Bad, The Details

It's time to celebrate another year with my man!  Today is our two year wedding anniversary.  How has it already been two years?!  In honor of our anniversary, I wanted to reminisce about our special day, tell you about the things that didn't go as planned and maybe even give you a few ideas for your own wedding :) So here is the good, the bad and the details from our special day. The Good... This is one of my favorite shots from the day. My big sis helping me put on my dress just as she has helped me with so many other things in life.  So symbolic :) It was also a happy day for her.  April 24, 2010 was not only our wedding day, but also the day my sister got engaged!  It will always be a special day for both of us for the rest of our lives. Instead of the minister introducing us as Mr. and Mrs. Jon Reutter, Jon's best man and brother did.  Much more appropriate and personal I believe. :) One of my favorite moments of the night ...

Wedding Shoes With a Nautical Twist

I'm not sure if it's my recent trip to the beach, my infatuation with  nautical stripes or my upcoming weddings that has me loving these shoes, but whatever it is, I do! Evie Peep-Toe Pumps by J. Crew I think these pumps would make the most adorable wedding shoes for anyone getting hitched by the sea. They are the perfect "something blue" and the nautical stripe adds such an unexpected surprise under the wedding gown. Seriously, how cute would these be in wedding photos?

Wedding Bells

Lately, I've been spending a lot of time of time perusing pictures of wedding flowers. "Why?" you might ask. Well, no, I'm not getting married again.  However, I am helping two other couples do so.  I'm so honored and excited to announce that I have been hired to create and design the flowers and decor for two different weddings coming up in May.  These are my first weddings to do (aside from my own and my sister's), and I couldn't be happier.  One will be held right outside Atlanta, GA and the other will be in Santa Rosa, FL.  I am beyond thrilled to help these two lovely ladies achieve the special days they've always dreamed of.  While doing some research for their events, I couldn't help but reminisce over my own wedding day.  It will be our two year anniversary April 24, and it really does seem just like yesterday.  A Victorian home over 100-years-old was just the right setting for our reception.  And since it was just a walk acr...

Three Months and a Place to Sit

Today marks our three month anniversary! Three months ago we were standing on the white, sandy shores of Inlet Beach, FL, saying "I do." And I must say, it REALLY has flown by. Before we know it, it'll be our 1 year anniversary! I was looking at our wedding photos again and decided to put together a collage of all of the little details that went into make the day "our's". It was a wonderful day, I wish Jon was here to celebrate it with me. However, he's presenting at an air show in Illinois this weekend for work. Thankfully, I have plenty to keep me busy as I prepare the house for our first visitor! My mom is flying in next Thursday, and we can't wait to show her our new home. And lucky for her, we will all be able to eat at the same dining room table because we finally have enough chairs! We already had two dark woven chairs for the ends of the table and needed to find some others to compliment them and make a whole set. I searched for...
