One of my friends is wanting to transition one of her guest rooms from a mostly white space with pops of red and gold to a calming blue space with white bedding. I love the idea and went on a search to help give her some inspiration and a few color options to get us started. Here are a few of my favorites that I found. This room is by James Michael Howard, a renown interior designer in the Southeast. Here's an example of how symmetry can really make a room. If you were to draw a line down the middle of this space, many items on both sides would mirror each other - the curtains, the sunburst mirror, the bedding and pillows, the lamps, the rug, the chandelier. And while the side tables themselves are different, their color is the same, so the overall look of symmetry still exists-which is always very appealing to the eye.
