They're Back!

I would like to just take a moment to let everyone know that KRISPY KREME FOOTBALL DOUGHNUTS ARE BACK!  I looove Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and when I stumbled upon these adorable football doughnuts a couple of years ago, I had to have them.  Now you must too!  They are perfect for weekend football watching parties or tailgates, and they taste delicious!  Click here to see participating stores.  I promise you these will be a crowd and tummy pleaser. Enjoy!

Guest Bedroom Turned Master Bedroom-Before and After

Today's before and after will feature our master bedroom.  I feel like a lot of people wait to tackle the master bedroom last because "less people will see it."  This may be true, but they are forgetting one fact...that the most important people will see it EVERY day!  The master bedroom is your room.  It should be your solace and your resting place.  Even if nothing else in your house looks great, your master should.  It should not be the eyesore that you wake to every day.  I say tackle this room first because you'll get the most use out of it.  And it will inspire you to keep the ball moving in decorating the rest of your house that the guests will definitely see.  With that being said, let me show you our master bedroom.   Initially Jon had his master bedroom in what is now our guest room.  It was the smaller of the two bedrooms but had the only cable hookup.  When I moved in, we switched things up and moved the master into the former guest room and decided that

Cleaning Favorites

I promise to get back to the design talk in my next entry. But I just had a great cleaning day and felt the need to say thanks to all of the items that attributed to that. I guess you know you're officially a housewife when one of your blog entries is on your favorite cleaning supplies. But that's okay. I've come to terms with it :) Scotch-brite Heavy Duty Dish Wand Doing the dishes is one of my least favorite chores, so when I find something that makes it much easier, I'm all about it. This just that. And I'll tell you why. 1. It holds dishwashing soap inside the handle so you don't have to stop and pick it up and pour it in each pan. 2. The long wand gives you great leverage to help you scrub off the toughest buildup. 3. Your hands don't smell like a dirty sponge when you're done. Fantastik Multi-Purpose Cleaner It smells great and works great. Plus you can use it on so many surfaces so there's no need to stop and switch clea

Sleep Tight and Roll Tide

I have to share with you one of the wedding presents we recently received.  They are so perfect for us and so incredibly cute and unique! For those who don't know, this means "Will you go to bed with me?"in French.  Yes, I will every night. :) One of my favorite things about being married is that I get to snuggle up to Jon every night.   I love that these are white (I love white bedding!).  I love that the writing is in French (Jon's major).  I love the creamy brown writing (hard to tell in the pic) and the contrast of cursive and simple serif font.  Overall, I just love them, and think they'll be a great addition to our bed! On another note, in less than one week college football begins!  I can't wait! Oh how I miss this view... I can't wait for the Tide to roll!

Friday Finds

Thank goodness for finds! :) Here are a few great deals that I've recently stumbled upon. Hope you enjoy them...and your Friday! This 5' x 7' Safavieh "Soho" Turquoise Area Rug from Macys.com is on sale for $598.99. I know that might not seem like a great deal, but considering it was originally $1,129.00 and is a hand-tufted wool rug, it's a GREAT deal! The colors and medallion design are right up my alley. Simply beautiful. If you don't want to spend that much, check out this other stunning rug from Macys.com . This gorgeous golden 5' x 8' Surya Area Rug is on sale for $329, originally $549. If you have a thing for vintage glassware like I do, then these vintage inspired plum beauties from World Market are for you. Unfortunately the pitcher is all sold out but the dot tumblers and juice glasses are still in stock and on sale for 50% off! Originally $15.96 for a set of 4, they're now $7.92. I love the hint of color and textured

Living Room Before and After

Because I'm always so inspired by other people's before and after's, I thought I would share some of our's. Since we're in a rental, we haven't done any major changes-painting, building or tearing down anything. Our design facelifts are mostly done with a few new furniture pieces and accessories. But if you ask me, there's still a world of a difference. Today, I'll share with you the transformation of the living room. Before: When Jon first moved into this place over a year and a half ago, it looked pretty sparse with just his furniture. Luckily when I moved in a few months ago, that all changed. We have a pretty long living room with a huge opening on the wall leading into the dining room so the original furniture placement created a very undesirable empty space in the back of the room. After: Enter my couch from Dallas. This couch has been in my family for nearly 20 years and still feels like new. The cushions have just as much volume to the

My Bathroom Must Haves

Plush white towels-I told you I had a fascination for white things...especially when it comes to sheets and towels. Nothing gives off a clean, spa-like look better than white, right? Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla Aromatherapy Lotion-This scent is one of my all-time favorites and is perfect for putting on just before bed for a nice restful sleep. Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes-For those of you who share my hatred for having to wash your face and remove your eye makeup every night before bed, these are for you. They have a wonderful scent and are a quick, refreshing remedy to a clean face. Cottonelle toilet paper-I know everyone has their favorites, but Cottonnelle is number one in my book. We bought Charmin for awhile because that's Jon's favorite. And while it was nice and thick, it ran out WAY too quickly. Cottonelle has a great thickness, lasts a long time and boasts beauitful textured lines on it as opposed to the tacky quilted pattern featured on
