Sleep Tight and Roll Tide

I have to share with you one of the wedding presents we recently received. They are so perfect for us and so incredibly cute and unique!

For those who don't know, this means "Will you go to bed with me?"in French. Yes, I will every night. :) One of my favorite things about being married is that I get to snuggle up to Jon every night.

I love that these are white (I love white bedding!). I love that the writing is in French (Jon's major). I love the creamy brown writing (hard to tell in the pic) and the contrast of cursive and simple serif font. Overall, I just love them, and think they'll be a great addition to our bed!

On another note, in less than one week college football begins! I can't wait!

Oh how I miss this view... I can't wait for the Tide to roll!

Our Living Room Mood Board

Our living room is slowly but surely coming together. The biggest To Do's are ordering a new media console, painting the room (which is unfortunately open to the dining room, kitchen, office and breakfast area which means lots of painting to be done!), order a few lamps and a console for the long wall behind the couch. I realize I haven't shared any pictures of our "new" house (we moved in at the end of last October) with you guys. So here's a glimpse of the living room before we moved in. Vintage Western Couples Shower

Last week I helped host a couples shower for our friends Colin and Maranda who are getting married in January. The overall idea was to create a vintage, western feel perfect for fall. Maranda initially wanted to have an autumn wedding but the timeline wasn't right, so this was our slight nod to a festive, fall soiree. Along with my own ideas, I also took to Pinterest (my new drug) and party sites like Hostess with the Mostess to get inspiration. The largest inspiration was from this party on hwtm.com. It had so many cute ideas that I had to steal borrow a few of them and add my own little twist to them. The final outcome led to this: Here's a front view (everything wasn't quite out yet, but I wanted to show you this angle). Up Up And Away- Take Two (And Three)

We took our second family flight this past June. We took the earliest flight out so we had to wake up at 4:00am to get everything ready. I had all of the girls' stuff ready and laid out so we only woke them five minutes before we left at 5:00 am. Rollins is our late sleeper so I thought she would for sure fall back asleep in the car on the way to the airport. Nope. Auden, who is typically my early riser (with the sunrise), fell asleep instead. I guess Rollins knew something was up and was too excited to miss anything. She didn't fall asleep until we were 10 minutes from our friends' house in Dallas. Meanwhile, Auden fell asleep again on the plane. Proof that you can never predict what toddlers will do during travel days. Auden loved getting to use her new suitcase and travel backpack (that daddy so graciously attached to his luggage for her).
