House of Hydrangeas

I was trying to hold out for some of the professional photos before I showed you more up close details of my Georgia wedding, but I just can't wait anymore so you'll have to deal with mine :)  Enjoy! Aisle arrangements were designed with daisies, white roses, tulips, orchids and assorted greenery. Custom designed programs by HoH The bride's bouquet was made of jumbo white hydrangeas, regular white hydrangeas and white May peonies.  It reminds me of a ball of rainbows. Bridesmaids carried a single white hydrangea tied with a strip of burlap. Find your seat.  Moss mat how to shown  here . The ballroom at The Country Club of the South. I recently scored four of these shutters for a total of $15 on Craigslist!  I was beyond ecstatic when I logged on and found the listing.  I'll be using them to escort cards for one of my upcoming weddings, but honestly the possibilities are endless with these guys. You can use them in so many different ways. As a headboard... As a memo board... As decor/art work... I think the last idea is my favorite.  I'd love to give them a nice dark stain, stack them and use them as one big piece to draw your eyes up toward the ceiling.  But we'll see... :) Images via Completely Coastal, The Lettered Cottage, 3-5 Source unknown

Create an outdoor side table by adding a paving stone to the top of a planter. Pick up a set of old shutter doors (try Craigslist, thrift stores, antique stores or salvage yards) to give your bedroom a summer cottage feel.  They function great as headboards and will trick you into thinking you're at the beach. Paint an older piece of furniture in a bright color.  Add a little distressing treatment to make it look aged.  I'm pretty sure I need piece of furniture this color somewhere in my next home. via Better Homes and Gardens Have a great Thursday!
